In Czeladź, part of the Polish glass industry hub, a company called Vetro Polska has been operating with much success and growing for the last 20 years. As part of their business, they introduce new products to the market. In addition to its main operations, they also manufacture complete lighting kits and offer custom sheet steel cutting and forming.
– We started 20 years ago, just simple works withe decorative glass. It was bending, cutting and screen printing – says Jan Kalabiński, President of the Management Board of Vetro Polska Sp. z o.o. – Thanks to the experience we gained, glass processing has no secrets for us. As the company grew, the production hall was modernised and equipped with new technologies. Grinding, sandblasting and tempering machines – these are all examples of the many investments made by the company. What is important, all of them were made solely with the company’s own funds.
– We form glass how we want it to look, not how it wants to bend. Working with such a delicate material, we cannot afford losses – says President Kalabiński. The company introduced a 16-stage quality control system, implemented by highly qualified employees. The procedures and instructions applied in the company resulted in Vetro Polska being invited to participate in the JAKOŚĆ ROKU® (Quality of the Year) programme. The company will be certified in the PRODUCT category.
In order to meet the expectations of their customers – mostly lighting designers and architects, Vetro Polska opened new departments. The research and development department works in the new applications of the technologies at their disposal and the comprehensively equipped engineering and design department implement the most outstanding designs of their customers for production. Many of their products can be see around the whole world.
– We build lasting relationships with our customers. Each sale is preceded by discussions, meetings, simply put – individual customer approach. This is why we expanded our business with ready-made lighting solutions – says President Kalabiński.
Furthermore, in recent years, the company purchased metal processing equipment: numerically controlled and laser machines for sheet steel cutting and forming. An are was also separated from the production hall to make space for the powder coating room. – These developments opened new possibilities to our partners and enable us to offer even more than before – Mr Kalabiński says at the end.
